Which Earasers filter is best for sensory sensitivity?
Most people start with Standard (up to 19dB peak reduction), which softens sharp sounds while keeping voices clear. If everyday places still feel like too much, step up to Euro or Max. Will I still be able to hear people talking?
Yes, with the lighter filters. Earasers are designed to turn noise down without the muffled, underwater feeling of foam, so conversation stays easy to follow with Standard and Euro. The stronger the filter, the quieter voices get too.
Can people tell I’m wearing them?
Usually not. Earasers are made of clear, soft silicone and sit inside your ear canal, with only a thin clear string for removal.
Should I wear them all the time?
Wear them when a place is too loud or overwhelming. If you have hyperacusis, wearing earplugs in everyday quiet can make sensitivity worse for some people, so it’s worth making a plan with an audiologist about when to use them.
Do they help with misophonia?
They can turn trigger sounds down and make them less sharp, but they won’t remove them completely. Many people pair them with other strategies that work for them.
How do I keep them clean?
Rinse them with warm water and let them air dry, or wipe them with a baby wipe. Skip soap and anything with alcohol. Never push anything down into the tip; to clear wax, gently scoop it out with the wax pick. Care instructions
