dB Buddy App Privacy Policy

dB Buddy is a free app from Earasers (Magnatone Hearing Aid Corp, dba Persona Medical). This policy explains what the app does with information. Purchases on earasers.net are covered by our store Privacy Policy.

Microphone. dB Buddy uses your phone’s microphone only to measure how loud it is around you. Sound is turned into a level reading on your phone as it happens. Audio is never recorded, saved, or sent anywhere. If you turn on background measuring, the app keeps measuring while it is in the background, and Android shows a notification while it does.

Bluetooth. If you choose to connect an optional Bluetooth sound level meter, the app uses Bluetooth only to read levels from that meter. It does not use Bluetooth to find your location.

Information stored on your phone. Your settings, calibration, and exposure history stay on your phone. We do not have accounts and do not receive this information. The app reads your phone model to suggest a starting calibration, and your phone’s region setting to show the right product names. Both happen on your phone. You can share your history yourself using the Export button. Deleting the app removes all of this information.

Internet use. The app connects to earasers.net to show current product information and prices, and it opens earasers.net pages in your browser when you tap a link. Like any website visit, our website host may receive standard technical information such as your IP address. The store Privacy Policy covers that.

What we don’t do. dB Buddy has no ads, no analytics or tracking tools, and no sign-in. It does not sell or share personal information.

Children. dB Buddy is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes. If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
